The SLE 4442 is a low-cost, standard smart card with 256 bytes of storage. It has a 3-byte programmable security code and an irreversible write protection feature. The chip contains an EEPROM organized 1024 x 8 bit, which allows for programmable write protection for each byte. These cards can be used for a variety of purposes, including storing personal information for photo IDs, financial information for credit cards, and gift cards.
